Job Title: Moving Laborer, New OR Experienced
This position is responsible for assisting with the packing, loading, unloading, and moving of items during residential, commercial, or office relocations. This position requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team. All employees must have a valid driver’s license, state Identification, and/or work permit, as well as reliable transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
Loading and Unloading: Safely and efficiently load and unload items from moving trucks, ensuring items are secured properly to prevent damage.
Packing and Unpacking: Assist with packing fragile or valuable items using appropriate materials (boxes, tape, bubble wrap, etc.) and unpack them at the destination.
Disassembling and Reassembling Furniture: Help disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed during the moving process.
Handling Items Carefully: Safely lift, carry, and transport all items, including heavy or bulky goods such as furniture, appliances, and boxes, while avoiding damage to goods and property.
Customer Service: Interact politely and professionally with clients, providing a positive and stress-free moving experience.
Driving Support: Assist drivers in navigating moving routes and handling items during the move.
Inventory Management: Track and inventory company owned and customer owned items to ensure everything is accounted for before, during, and after the move.
General Clean-up: Help clean up the work area after the move is complete, ensuring all equipment and materials are returned to their proper place.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Physical Strength and Stamina: Ability to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Reliability and Punctuality: Arriving on time and being dependable in completing tasks.
Professionalism: We require a neat and clean appearance, including uniforms, which are provided to you by P.O.G. Moving and Helpers. A kind, caring attitude with and open and trusted line of communication are paramount in the success of our employees and our company.
Payroll and Benefits:
Payroll is weekly, on Saturday
